Hardin Schools Locked Down

Hardin Public Schools were locked down Friday morning, and students sent home, according to an administrative assistant at the district office.

After Bear Kills Son, Father Calls $13,120 Fine ‘A Joke’

A father whose son was killed by a bear while working in the Teton Wilderness said this week Wyoming OSHA’s $13,120 fine against the company involved in the death is “a joke.”

Johnson County Planning Grant Application Moves On To SLIB

Johnson County's application for a planning grant for a multi-use facility at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center has moved on to the State Lands and Investments Board (SLIB) for their review and approval. The SLIB's next meeting is Thursday, October 1st.

Proposed City Management of SAWS Raises Concerns

During a recent Public Pulse show, Sheridan Media’s Kim Love questioned the necessity of maintaining the management of the Sheridan Area Water Supply system, known as SAWS, with a joint powers board of city and county officials, since it’s been proposed to be handed over to the city.

Elks Lodge Gun Show

The Elks Lodge #520 in Sheridan will be hosting the 3rd annual Gun Show this weekend. Exalted Ruler Bill Dahlin said that the show will begin this afternoon at 4 and run until 7. Saturday’s times are 9 to 5 and Sunday the show will run from 9 to 3.
