Charlie H. Kent, 90, of Sheridan, WY passed away on Saturday, Jan 16th, 2016 at Sheridan Manor. He was born in Megargel,TX and was raised in Olney, TX.

Charlie worked in the oil fields before joining the Army/Air Corps in the latter part of WW II where he worked on planes.

Dorothy Mae Manning, 82, of Sheridan, WY, passed away peacefully at her home on January 22, 2016. She was born on July 12, 1933, in Acme, WY, to Mike and Katherine (Cromick) Martinek, the youngest of ten children. She lived in the Sheridan area the majority of her life. She married Joe Geiss in 1954, and together they had one daughter, Teresa. They later divorced.

Weekend local sports wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams opened conference play the Lady Broncs swept their road trip with victories at Laramie and Cheyenne South.

The Broncs took two tough losses losing at Laramie by three and Cheyenne South by two, this week both teams play at home hosting games with Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

EAGLES / LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles swept all four games on the weekend with victories over Moorcroft and Sundance, they host Rocky Mountain Friday and play at Wright Saturday.
