Attendance at the 5th annual Combat Color Fun Run was down this year, but that didn’t detract from the fun the 50 participants had.

The fundraiser that added more color to the season than the fall leaves, the Combat Color Fun Run had everyone covered in a kaleidoscope of neon powdered color.

The first presidential debate is over and saw the businessman Trump pitted against the politician Clinton. This week’s Bank of Sheridan/Sheridan Media Poll Question asks: “Who won the first presidential debate?”

On Saturday, October 1, hundreds of Sheridan county residents flocked to the Holy Name Catholic School for the 81st annual School Carnival & Chili Supper.

On October 7 from 7:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. the Wyoming Board of Architects and Landscape Architects will sponsor a free public presentation about affordable housing. The event is hosted by AIA Wyoming, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects, at the Teton Science Schools in Jackson.

On October 5, 6, and 7 the 2016 Special Olympics Wyoming Fall Tournament will be held in Casper.

On Tuesday the 4 there will be a free community presentation from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in which Sheridan Attorney Mark Pierce, who specializes in elder law, will discuss Medicaid coverage for long-term care.

With the new school year, Sheridan County School District #2 has integrated a brand new curriculum into the fabric of their K-12 education.

The first week of October has come and with it, Sheridan High School’s homecoming week. This year, SHS will bring back several traditions to enliven the homecoming spirit.

Sheridan County School District 2 trustees expect to hear information about secondary schools improvement plans at their meeting Monday.
