Sheridan PD Remodel Update

For several months, the Sheridan Police Department has been undergoing an overhaul. The remodel is intended to help improve several aspects of the department according to Police Chief Rich Adriaens.

Sheridan County Historical Society and Museum November Programs

Throughout November, the Sheridan County Historical Society and Museum will host several programs. Tidbit Saturday and Casual Conversations in history are among the continuing programs and History Express is a new program for ages 11-18, that will debut this month.

Animal Control Officer Urges Residents to Keep Track of Their Pets

Ed Boone serves as Sheridan’s Community Service Officer. He is employed through the Police Department and mainly handles animal control but he also does some code enforcement. Boone said one of the main issues of late, has been dogs and cats at large.

The fire ban in the Tongue Ranger District of the Bighorn National Forest was a short one this year.

Generals Basketball Open with a Victory / Lady Generals Open Tonight / State Volleyball Opens Thursday for the Lady Broncs

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals basketball team started the new season with a very good victory beating Northeastern Colorado at the Hoffman dome last night 88-62.

They fell behind by ten early in the first half but closed the half on a 23-5 run and led the rest of the way. They get back into action Friday night at the dome against Otero CC that game is scheduled for 7:00.

Buffalo Council OK's Street Closure(s) For Veterans Day

The American Legion Powder River Post No. 13 in Buffalo made a request of the city council to allow a street closure for the upcoming Veterans Day ceremonies on November 11th.
