Sheridan PD Accepting Applications for 2017 Citizen’s Academy

The Sheridan Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2017 Citizen’s Police Academy. This academy will hold classes on one evening per week from February 21-April 18. There is no fee for the class but numbers are limited.

Red Kettle Campaign Donations Are Down This Year

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign will wrap up for another year Saturday. To date, the campaign in Sheridan is down $43,000 from last year.

Commissioners Approve Bridge Inspection Report

Funeral services for Chuck Lawrence, 96 year old lifetime Johnson County Rancher, who passed away peacefully Saturday at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Tuesday, December 27th at 2:00 p.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Reverend Dr. Bob Miller officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Suzanne Knepper, 99 year old long time Buffalo resident who passed away Sunday morning at her home in Sheridan, will be held Tuesday, December 27th at 11:00 a.m. from the Union Congregational Church in Buffalo with Reverend Bill Knepper officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
