Library Board Approves Revised Collection Policy

Trustees of the Sheridan County Library System approved a revised collection development policy at their meeting Wednesday night.

Two Resolutions Approved to Apply for State Revolving Funds Grants at Council Meeting

At Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting, City Engineer Lane Thompson presented two Resolutions to Apply for State Revolving Funds Grants. These grants are to pay for Clean and Drinking Water elements of Phase 2 of Sheridan’s Loucks Street Project.

For the 61st year, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, better known as NORAd, will be tracking Santa Claus himself on Christmas Eve. NORAD isn’t the only organization tracking Saint Nick as Google and other sites will have similar trackers available for the public’s viewing.

Employee Partners Donate to Mammography Equipment

The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation's employee partners have voted to donate their 2016 contributions to the foundation to support the purchase of 3D mammography screening equipment for the hospital.

Thilda A. Haugen, 103, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the Sheridan Manor.

Thilda was born on January 24, 1913 to Arthur and Lina (Warstad) Skalet in Thief River Falls, MN. She was the oldest of eight children. She attended 16 J School through eighth grade. She was confirmed at Ebenezer Church.

Ranchester Council Eyes Sanitation Fee Increase

Ranchester's town council gave first-reading approval Tuesday to an amendment that would allow the town to increase sanitation collection fees by up to 3 percent per year.
