The third quarter of 2016 started out with a slew of wildfires in July. The Beatty Spur Fire, which was a grass blaze about 12 miles north of Sheridan, was reported on the afternoon of Friday the 8th and was contained several hours after crews arrived.

Ina (Jeanne) Fuller, 81, of Sheridan, will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones. She passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Green House Living. Born February 20, 1935 in Cherry County, Nebraska to Roy and Lula (Swan) Turner she attended school there, and then moved to Dayton, WY where she graduated High School.

Michael “Mick” Kaser

Michael Duane Kaser, better known as Mick, of Ranchester, Wyoming, died December 26, at home in the company of his family at 72. He is survived by his wife, Jenny, of Ranchester, Wyoming, whom he married in October of 1973 in Lingle, Wyoming, and their son, Cody, as well as two sons, Tom and David Kaser, from a previous marriage.

Snow removal crews with the City of Sheridan have been busy cleaning up after the Christmas storm that pretty much shut down much of northeast Wyoming.
