With tax season just around the corner, the Internal Revenue Service is urging taxpayers to be on the lookout for an array of evolving tax scams related to identity theft and refund fraud. During the tax season, there is an increase in scams that target residents via email, phone, and online.

Michael Duane Kaser, better known as Mick, of Ranchester, Wyoming, died December 26, at home in the company of his family at 72. Visitation will be held at Champion Funeral Home chapel in Sheridan, Wyoming on Monday, January 2nd from 2pm to 4:30pm. Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Sheridan, Wyoming on Tuesday, January 3rd at 10am, officiated by Pastor Stephen Anderson.

In mid October, an intruder, that was later identified as 39-year-old Terry Tate Twomey of Sheridan, was shot and killed during a home invasion at a residence on the 200 block of West 10th Street in Sheridan.
