Buffalo Council Approves Permit For Garbage Service

The Buffalo City Council discussed a request from an independent contractor to provide garbage service to some commercial accounts within the city limits and to renew the required permit to provide those services.

Funeral services for Thelma R. Balden 88 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Tuesday morning at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Tuesday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday the 28th from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel.

Arvada/Clearmont School Board Calls Community Meeting

Trustees of Sheridan County School District 3 have scheduled a community meeting Wednesday night in Clearmont to talk about school funding, the district's plans for the next four to five years and the bus barn fire, according to Superintendent Charles Auzqui.

City Ordinance Says Keep Dogs on Leash, Cats Confined

Sheridan’s Community Service Officer Ed Boone detailed the leash laws for dogs and boundaries for cats during a recent interview, saying safety is the reason the law is on the books.

UPDATE: ‘The Producers’ Comes to Local Stage

A musical billed as a “witty, sarcastic ride” will be brought to the local stage this week. The local Civic Theatre Guild opens Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” on Thursday night at the WYO Theater in Sheridan.

SC Generals Rodeo results

The Sheridan College Generals Rodeo team competed in Gillette this past weekend where the women’s team placed second and the men’s team had some success.

The Generals women’s team was led by Callie Robinson from Moorcroft, WY Callie won the long round in the breakaway roping with a time of 2.4 seconds. The breakaway was very fast with a difference of 6/10ths of a second from first to 10th place. Callie split the win in the short round with another fast time of 2.4 seconds which gave her the average win. This win moved Callie to 2nd place in the region.

The International Association of Fire Fighters Union Local #276 and the City of Sheridan continued contract negotiations for the upcoming fiscal year during a special City Council meeting Monday. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
