If all goes as planned, construction of a natural gas pipeline to serve Ranchester and Dayton could start in 2018.

Thursday night, an artist’s reception was held for the art students of Sheridan Jr. High School. A reception like none other, the night also included food and music. Art instructor Mary Lawson detailed the event.

“Project Lifesaver,” was discussed and the county commissioners were updated on the progress of the implementation of the system in Johnson County at their most recent meeting.

The Buffalo City Council has been invited to an appreciation breakfast this next week, hosted by a number of local beneficiaries of funding from the city.

Johnson County Sheriff Steve Kozisek and the county commissioners recently discussed the proposed contracts he is working on with the State Department of Corrections (DOC) to house prisoners at the Johnson County Justice Center.

ERA Carroll Realty Owner Dixie See began her career in the real estate business in 1977 when she worked as a receptionist at Carroll Realty Company. In 1981, she received her realtor’s license, and just nine years later in 1990, she purchased the company that she currently owns today.

The Sheridan City Council and The International Association of Fire Fighters Union Local #276 began negotiations on a new contract for the upcoming fiscal year in February. Both sides will meet for the fourth time at a special meeting Monday night.

Sheridan's Public Works Director Nic Bateson had some positive news for the city council in a budget workshop held Thursday.
