Firefighters Hold Drill Downtown

About 30 firefighters, Rocky Mountain Ambulance crews and Sheridan police participated in a drill at the former state offices at the corner of East Works and South Gould streets in downtown Sheridan.

Firefighters Battle Blaze on Colorado Street

Sheridan fire crews were called to a house on East Colorado Street at about 6:40 Friday night.

Wild Turkeys and Leash Ordinance on Council’s Agenda

The Sheridan City Council will receive an update from Police Chief Richard Adriaens at their meeting Monday night regarding the City’s leash law for dogs. Sheridan Mayor John Heath says Wild turkeys will also be addressed during a community update.

Governor Puts Plan in Place to Help Miners

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead said recently that the State will do what it can to help the nearly 500 miners who were laid off from two coal mines in the Powder River Basin this week.

Surveyor to be Focus of History 'Conversation'

Edward Gillette, a railroad surveyor and son-in-law of Henry Coffeen, will be the focus of this month's Casual Conversations in History, which will be April 13 at Sheridan's Senior Center.

Fish Stocked in Mavrakis Pond

About 250 rainbow trout were stocked in Mavrakis Pond Friday afternoon.
