Wyoming Community Foundation Distributes Grants

On April 19th, local board members of the Wyoming Community Foundation - Sheridan Johnson (WYCF-SJ) delivered grant checks to area non-profit organizations. Organizations receiving funds were: Sheridan Arts Council, Marion Daycare, VOA Homeless Shelter, Sheridan Country Fulmer Public Library, Sage Arts Center, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and the Sheridan YMCA.

Sheridan Arts Council, $4,000 Concert Series: Jerry Pilch, Bob Grammens, Jay McGinnis, Rita Cherni Smith, Bernie Spielman, Kim Love, Ada Kirven, Front Row SAC members Karen Schubert, Dana Prater, and Joanie Bennet.

Private services for Lois Ellinwood, 85 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Monday, April 18th at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held by her family and friends. Donations in Mrs. Ellinwood’s memory may be made to the Amie Holt Care Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Michael Hiza Jr., 84 years old, of Story, Wyoming, passed away Sunday the 17th of April at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 1st, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger officiating.

The Sheridan County Museum Opens the 2016 Season With a New Name

The Sheridan county museum will now be known as the Sheridan county Museum and Historical Society. Museum Director John Woodward appeared on Sheridan Media's Public Pulse program Monday and announced the re-branding of the museum's name.

TRACK AND FIELD - Sheridan high school has canceled the "Gary Benson" invitational track meet today because of weather concerns Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says because of scheduling conflicts moving forward they will not reschedule the meet.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams split non conference matches with Buffalo last night the Broncs dropped a 1-0 decision while the Lady Broncs got three goals from Robbi Ryan and shut out the Bison 3-0.
