City, Firefighters Fail to Reach Agreement

Controlled Burn at Sheridan County Airport

Smoke seen over Sheridan on Monday afternoon was from a controlled burn at the Sheridan County Airport, officials said.

Airport management performed the burn to clean up several ditches and other overgrown areas on the airport property. The burn was overseen by the airport fire department.

Detention, Juvenile Justice Budgets Presented to County

Sheriff Dave Hofmeier presented Sheridan County commissioners with a request for a little over $2.6 million for the county detention center during a county budget meeting Monday.
