Buffalo Community Members Honored At Chamber Lunch

The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce honored community members at their annual Chamber Award Luncheon on Wednesday.

The luncheon is an opportunity for the chamber to recognize individuals and businesses that donate time and resources to the chamber and their events, as voted on by the people in the community.

The first phase of the North Main Street interchange project, which is the grading and dirt work for the new interchange, will start this summer.

New Overtime Pay Rules Announced By Obama Administration

Overtime pay protections will be extended to over 4 million workers within the first year of its implementation if President Obama and Labor Secretary Perez’s publication of the U.S. Department of Labor’s final rule on overtime regulations becomes effective.

Minerva Sanderson, passed away May 15, 2016, she was born on July 10, 1918, in San Antonio, TX, to Angela (Cisneros) and Manuel G. Silvee. She grew up in Galveston, TX; was baptized at Central Christian Church at the age of 12 years. She graduated from Ball High School and enrolled in Droughn Business College where she took secretarial and accounting courses.

Michael W. McGinty, 65, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, following a long courageous battle with cancer.

Mike was born June 25, 1950, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to William and Helen McGinty.

He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in forestry and soil management.
