Broncs Win First Game in State Tournament

The Sheridan Bronc Boys Soccer Team defeated the Natrona Mustangs despite loosing a player to a red card. They beat them by a score of 1-0 in the first game of the 2016 State Tournament. Bronc Head Coach Matt Johnson was proud of his team.

In addition to the red card that was given to Aaron Sessions, two other bronc players received yellow cards as did one Natrona player. Johnson shared why Sessions got red carded.

Public Fluoridation Hearings Complete, No Decision By Council

Thursday afternoon the City of Buffalo had their final public hearing on the possibility of adding fluoride to the city's drinking water, and again, the overwhelming sentiment of those attending was for the city not to do it.

Mass of Christian Burial for Lynn Kostenbauer, 80 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly Thursday morning at the Johnson County Health Care Center, will be celebrated Wednesday, June 1st at 10:00 from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as officiant. A Vigil Service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Hackman Files for House District 51

Democrat Hollis Hackman of Sheridan will run for the State House District 51 seat in Sheridan County, as he’s officially filed for the position. Hackman said this past legislative session was the turning point in his decision to run.

Sheridan Man Charged with Assault Bound Over to District Court

26-year-old Sheridan resident, Jacob Olson was scheduled for his preliminary hearing in Circuit Court Thursday morning. However, Olson’s Public Defender waived that hearing and the case has been bound over to District Court.

Funeral services for Robert Kube 95 year old former Buffalo resident who passed away January 4, 2015 in Boulder, Colorado and his wife Evelyn Kube 94 year old former Buffalo residents who passed away August 8, 2015 also in Boulder, will be held Tuesday June 7th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger and Deacon Carl Kube officiating.
