Troopers Split Wood Bat Tournament 2-2

The Sheridan Troopers Baseball Team played four games over the past three days in the Gillette Spring Classic Wood Bat Tournament. They split the tournament with 2 wins and 2 losses.

Friday they beat the Gillette Roughriders 4-2 and then on Saturday they handled Rock Springs 7-3. During a double header on Sunday they lost first to Laurel, Mt 6-0 and then again to Spearfish, SD 5-4

23 Receive Diplomas From Tongue River

A class of 23 received diplomas Sunday night in ceremonies at Tongue River High School in Dayton.

The smallest class of seniors in Sheridan County graduated Sunday afternoon when four pupils received their diplomas from Arvada-Clearmont High School in Clearmont.

The 34 graduates of Big Horn High School have been offered more than $1 million in scholarship money.

Sheridan High School Principal Brent Leibach praised the academic and athletic records of this year's more than 200 graduates during ceremonies Sunday afternoon at Homer Scott Field.

Schedule For Buffalo's Memorial Day Ceremonies

Buffalo's Memorial Day observances will begin with the Parade Of Veterans of All Wars, which will assemble at the corner of Fort Street and Adams Ave. at 9 am.

Eleven seniors received their diplomas in graduation ceremonies Saturday at Sheridan's Ft. Mackenzie High School.

Sheridan Broncs Take 3rd At State Tournament

Wyoming State Soccer-The Sheridan Broncs Boys Soccer took 3rd place in the State Tournament with a 2-0 win over the Cheyenne Central Indians. After suffering an overtime loss the night before, Head Coach Matt Johnson said they rebounded well.

Dontae Crow scored the first goal and Senior Goal Keeper Zachary Campbell scored the second goal of the game on a penalty kick.

County Signs MOU's, Agreements For Public Health

Johnson County's Commissioners reviewed and voted for Chairman Bill Novotny to sign a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between themselves and the Wyoming State Department of Health and the State Attorney General's Office to jointly provide public health services to the residents of the county.
