Buffalo Council Approves Longmire Days Requests

Pungent Smell Near Tongue River’s New School

If you are leaving the town of Ranchester heading towards Dayton you may notice a pungent smell near the construction site of the new Tongue River School. Ranchester Mayor Peter Clark told us what the source of the scent is.

Wight Sentenced on Restraint, Battery Charges

Nicole Wight was sentenced to three to five years in prison, suspended in favor of five years supervised probation, on a charge of felonious restraint, and 90 days in jail on a misdemeanor charge of battery in district court this week.

Trail End Historic Site Now Open

As of today, the Trail End Historic Site is open to the public daily from 9am-6pm, including holidays. Trail End’s special exhibit this year is titled “Politics as Usual” according to Site Superintendent Cynde Georgen.

Sheridan Police Department Still Having Issues with Calls

The Sheridan Police Department is currently having issues with incoming telephone calls. This should not affect the answering and response to emergency calls. Non emergency calls can be made to 674-6351, 674-6352 or 672-5173 until further notice.

Black Bear Spotted in South Sheridan

Wyoming Game and Fish officials have received numerous reports of a young black bear on the roam in the south Sheridan area. Sheridan Region Game and Fish Information Specialist Bud Stewart tells us where the bear was last seen Tuesday.
