15th Annual Young Riders Rodeo

Dreams of being a cowboy took life for kids on Saturday during the Young Riders Rodeo. Over 50 kids, ages up to 18, participated in such events as stick horse racing, dummy roping, on up to steer roping, barrel racing and goat tying.

This past weekend, hundreds gathered in Kaycee, the hometown of country singer and World Champion Bareback Bronc Rider, Chris LeDoux. The sixth annual Chris LeDoux Days was set into full swing with a bareback and saddle bronc riding, along with some special performances and events.

Sheridan County School District 2 trustees will consider a contract with Volunteers of America at their meeting Monday night.

Robbi Ryan Wins 2016 Millward Simpson Award / Troopers 2-1 at Omaha Tournament...Wrap up Play Today

Sheridan high school graduate Robbi Ryan won this years girls Millward Simpson award. The Simpson awards go each year to one boy and one girl graduating senior.

Ryan along with being a top notch student also will go down as one of the best athletes in Sheridan high school history.

During her high school career Robbi was named all-state in basketball four times all-state volleyball three times and also won the Gatorade athlete of the year three times twice in basketball and this spring on soccer. She will play basketball at Arizona state.

Crowds a Bit Smaller But Enthusiastic at Music Festival

Some of the vendors said crowds at this year's Big Horn Country USA were down a little from last year, but that didn't appear to dampen the enthusiasm for this year's music festival.
