The fire danger in the Bighorn National Forest has recently been upgraded to “very high,” according to managers of the national forest, and people are advised to be alert to fire danger in the area.

Arraignment For Michael Johnson Postponed to Tuesday

The arraignment for Michael Johnson, a former employee at a Buffalo newspaper, was scheduled in Johnson County District Court for Monday, June 27th, at 1:30 in the afternoon, but was postponed until Tuesday, June 28th where he will face multiple counts of sexual abuse, drug and child pornography charges.

Sheridan Speedway Has Great Turnout

Sheridan Speedway held one of the IMCA Tour Special Races Sunday night. Many cars were present both in the pit area to race and parked to enjoy the show.

Tankers Spills Thousands of Gallons of Oil East of Wright

After a truck pulling two tanker trailers full of crude oil crashed around 15 miles east of Wright, several thousand gallons of the oil spilled. The crash occurred on Sunday morning at 9:40 while the truck was traveling east on Wyoming 450.

Semi-Truck Explosion Cause Confirmed

On Saturday morning at 8:17, Sheridan Fire Rescue responded to the report of a semi-truck explosion in Sheridan’s Walmart parking lot. Incident Commander for this fire, Jerry Johnston, confirmed that the truck had indeed exploded.
