Travel & Tourism Hosts 'Marketplace' for Travel Writers

Sheridan Travel & Tourism hosted a “marketplace” Friday night where members of the Society for American Travel Writers could visit with representatives of some of the area's attractions, such as the WYO Theater, the Sheridan-WYO Rodeo and Antelope Butte.

Wyoming Community Foundation Ready to Grant Millions

The Wyoming Community Foundation invites Johnson County nonprofits to apply for funding from its Hazel Patterson Memorial Donor Advised Fund. According to a news release from the foundation, the deadline for applications is the end of the business day Wednesday, June 15.

Bought Beautifully

Sheridan resident Emily Betzler has founded an organization that is aimed at helping those in need. She calls the non-profit Bought Beautifully and their unique niche is “living out God’s call”.

The Big Horn Mountain Eagles Auxiliary #4169 donated $1,300 to the Sheridan Senior Center. The Center’s Development Director Rindy West told us what the funds will be used for.

For the fourth year, First Interstate Bank of Sheridan has donated to the Sheridan Senior Center for Older Americans Month. Established in 1963 Older Americans Month was created to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of older citizens.

Myra Jean Asay Sessions

Myra Jean Asay Sessions (72) of Lovell, WY past away peacefully Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT. Myra was born July 26, 1943 to Joe and Legene Asay of Lovell, WY. Myra grew up in Lovell, WY and married her high school sweetheart Larry Sessions. They were married Nov. 10, 1961. They raised six children, Todd, Max, Cami, Steve, Kevin and Melissa.

Yellowstone Receives “Stamp” of Approval

The Forever stamp depicting a photograph of two bison silhouetted in the winter morning sun in Yellowstone National Park was dedicated Thursday among a pane of 16 stamps to celebrate the National Park Service’s 100-Year Anniversary.

Sculpture Returns to Former Dan's Building
