CAST To Riverton Connection Started Today

On Friday morning, Sheridan Air Service had its first flight with a stop in Riverton. Shawn Parker Chairman of the Sheridan Johnson Counties Critical Air Service Team(CAST) said that not much changed with the added stop.

Tourism Season is in Full Swing

Tourism is an integral part of State’s economy as it is the second largest industry in Wyoming. Sheridan has benefitted from being sandwiched in between Yellowstone National Park to the west, and Devils Tower and the Black Hills to the east.

Nine UW Projects Awarded Use of Supercomputer

Nine new projects, headed by researchers at the University of Wyoming have been chosen to receive computational time and storage space on the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center in Cheyenne.

Crash North of Sheridan Results in a Fatality

A crash north of Sheridan has resulted in the death of 63-year-old Sheridan resident Cynthia Spillman. The crash occurred Thursday night at 9:30 on Wyoming State Highway 345 approximately eight miles north of Sheridan.

Sally Francis age 75 died peacefully at home on June 30, 2016 with the loving care of her children at her side. At her request, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.

Troopers win two in Cheyenne / Rockies open a series in LA / SHS booster club golf tournament is July 17th

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers opened a tournament in Cheyenne yesterday in the first game against Casper they beat the Oilers for the 4th straight time winning 14-4 they came back with a 1-0 win over Colorado Catalyst.

Today's games will be against a team Lubbock,Texas and Cheyenne Post 6 the tournament runs through Sunday.

The Troopers are eleven games over .500 at 29-18 and with four weeks left until the state tournament begins Head coach Ben Phillips says the Troops right now are in mid season form and playing well.
