Summer Night at the Mansion

The 2nd annual “Summer Night at the Mansion” had several people show up for a cool evening, under the shade trees at the Trail End Museum.

Site Superintendent Cynde Georgen said the event was geared for folks to come up and relax a bit.

Troopers Bomb Gillette advance to the state tournament semi finals

The Sheridan Troopers scored 8 runs in the third inning and went onto whip Gillette 16-4.

They will play the winner of the Cheyenne / Jackson game in the semi finals tomorrow night.

Mars 'Irreplaceable' in Sheridan

Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young called Forrest Mars Jr. the “irreplaceable man,” citing the Mars company co-owner's contributions not only to the college but to other projects and events in the Sheridan area.

Crash Near Decker, MT Results in Fatality

According to Big Horn County Coroner Terry Bullis, there was a one car rollover crash that claimed the life of 23-year-old Sheridan resident Anna Rowland Tuesday, on U.S. Highway 314, about 25 miles north of the Montana/Wyoming border.

Forrest Mars Jr. Passes Away at Age 84

According to the New York Times, Bloomberg and other news sources, Forrest Mars Jr. passed away Tuesday due to a heart attack. Mars was well known to locals as a co-owner of Mars Candy Company and a philanthropist that has helped make the new M&M Center and the Forrest E. Mars Jr.

Arden Fire Update

Due to more accurate mapping the acreage burned by the Arden Fire has been decreased to 544 acres. This lightning caused fire, burning 45 road miles east of Greybull, is now at 65% containment despite being fought in heavy timber on up to 25% slopes.

Fatal Crash Near Tongue River Reservoir

According to a report by KTVQ, a fatal crash occurred at approximately 8:20 Tuesday night near Tongue River Reservoir along Montana Secondary Highway 314 and Kirby Road in Big Horn County, Montana.

School District 1 Calls Meetings to Discuss Former TRE Building
