The Sheridan Eagles #186 at 5th and Main, will be hosting a candidate meet and greet Wednesday at 6. Eagles member Mona Hansen says it will offer people a good chance to get to know the candidates prior to the Primary Election on the 16th.

The Sheridan City Council will work with a light agenda Monday night as there are no items under new or old business. A revised New Growth Alliance Memorandum of Understanding is an item that will be approved on the consent agenda.

Hospital Board to Meet Wednesday

Sheridan Memorial Hospital trustees will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in conference rooms A and B in the hospital basement.

County Fair Welcomes Farmer’s Market

There is a new addition to county fair this year, which brings the love of local produce and products to the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. Liz Shaffer, Sheridan County 4-H educator, has been working with producers within the community to put on the first farmer's market as part of the county fair.

Semi-Truck Rolls on Sand Turn

A semi-truck rolled Friday afternoon at Sand Turn in between Burgess Junction and Dayton. The truck was loaded with bagged bentonite and the wreckage is partially blocking the lanes. WYDOT reports that there were no injuries.

This is the second semi-truck that has rolled at Sand Turn this week.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, in the Sheridan Masonic Cemetery with Military Honors.

James Wesley Buckley, 87, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, at Westview Health Care Center.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, at the First Christian Church with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
