Museum Visitation Numbers Look Good

Sheridan County Historical Society Museum Director John Woodward appeared on our Public Pulse program Monday he told the program Host Kim Love that visitor numbers look pretty normal for this time of year.

Voters who have difficulty filling in the boxes next to candidates' names can request “audio ballots” from Sheridan County election personnel.

Sheridan Jets Baseball Season Ends / Troopers Open Their State Tourney Today / Rockies Fall at Baltimore

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open Double "AA" state tournament starts in Jackson today they will play the Casper Oilers in the first round.

Other first round match ups will have Evanston against Cheyenne, Rock Springs plays Gillette and Laramie faces Jackson.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets ended their season yesterday they played Gillette for the "B" state baseball championship against Gillette, Gillette took the title 6-5

Hatchery Fire 60% Contained

The Hatchery Fire, burning 7 miles east of Tensleep, is now at 60% containment. Crews continued to mop up the fire edge and conducted firing operations along hand lines in order to limit the fire’s spread. A total of 2775 acres have been burned but no structures are threatened. U.S.

Maxine Fried Fudge

Maxine Marie (Fried) Fudge, 64, of Big Horn, WY, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT surrounded by her family. She battled cancer for nearly 12 years with courage and positivity. She welcomed God’s challenge to show people that it is possible to have cancer and still live a full life.

County Airport Closed for Runway Work

Sheridan County Airport was closed Saturday afternoon and will be closed for several days this week so work can be done on runways.
