New Home Found at College for Lion-Dogs

A new home has been found at Sheridan College for the two lion-dog statues that once stood at the entrance to Sheridan's Kendrick Park.

Funeral services for Edith Lopez, 84 year old Buffalo resident who passed away late Saturday evening at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held Saturday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson officiating. A vigil service will be held and the Rosary recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Commissioners Authorize Hiring in Treasurer's Office

Sheridan County commissioners Monday approved hiring a full-time person in the county treasurer's office to replace an employee who is leaving.

The Sheridan College Generals had a great start to the season at Chadron, NE this past weekend. Both the Women’s team and the Men’s team ended up second for the weekend.
The women were second behind Casper college by 40 team points and the men were second to Chadron State college by only 20 team points. We are very excited about our home rodeo this weekend.

Catherine C. Langlois, 87, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, peacefully in her sleep with her son (and her cat) by her side at home. She was born on May 3, 1929, in Sheridan, WY to parents Forist and Muriel Neely. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947.
