Public Meets Administrator Candidates

Sheridan residents had a chance to meet and talk with the two finalists for the Sheridan city administrator's position in a reception Tuesday night at Sheridan College.

Sheridan Kmart Not One of the 64 Stores Closing

According to USA Today 64 Kmart stores are being closed around the U.S. as they continue to see declining sales. We have confirmed that Sheridan’s Kmart is not one of those 64 however there are two Wyoming Stores closing, Riverton’s and Cody’s.

Theodore “Smokey” John Barten, Jr., 77, passed away at his residence on September 20, 2016. Smokey was born on July 24, 1939, in Hayward, WI, to Theodore J. Barten, Sr. and Mary (DeView) Barten. He was one of 14 children and grew up working on his family’s dairy farm. He married Donna Coykendall on October 17, 1959, in Pine City, MN.

Commissioners Approve Contracts for Grant Disbursal

The Sheridan County Commissioners approved two contracts with state agencies at their meeting Tuesday that will allow for the disbursement of grants to local entities. The first contract was with the Wyoming Department of Family Services for a TANF grant.

WWA to Host Stewardship Outing at Sibley Lake
