County Commission Considers Rezone Request

The Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday approved the Mydland Trust Rezone, which was a request by the Elmer Milton Mydland Trust to rezone 117 acres from Agricultural to Urban Residential. The property fronts Big Horn Road, or State Highway 332 near Paradise Park Road.

Ramaco Makes $90 Million Investment

Ramaco Development, LLC, who has offices in Sheridan and Lexington, Kentucky, announced Tuesday, that a $90 million investment should enable two new coal mines to open in Virginia and West Virginia within the next year.

Funeral services for Zac Gibbs, 19 year old Arvada youth who died Friday in an auto accident near Arvada, will be held Thursday, September 8th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Peter Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m.
