Native American food, music and dancing and presentations by representatives from various tribes marked the first Native American Day celebration at Sheridan College Thursday night.

The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation this week presented hospital trustees with a check for more than $220,000, the final installment of the nearly $305,000 raised to upgrade the hospital's digital mammography equipment.

The story of Eugene Bullard, the first African-American combat pilot and adventurer, will be presented in the play “Wings of Courage” at Sheridan's WYO Theater starting at 4 p.m. Sunday.
