Sheridan's City Council has approved resolutions that clear the way for the city to apply for more than $2 million in loans to fund extension of water and sewer service to the north end of Sheridan.
Funeral services for Buddy Peyrot, 75 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at his home in Buffalo Saturday evening will be held Thursday, February 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Bob Ruby officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Maxie Lynette (Miller) Heagy was taken by her angels on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 to be with the Lord in Heaven. She passed peacefully in her sleep at Orchard Pointe Assisted Living in Surprise, AZ surrounded by friends and family. She was born on March 29, 1934 in Sheridan, WY to George Richard and Melba Katherine (Coop) Miller.
The Antelope Butte Foundation is in the process of reinventing the old Antelope Butte Ski Area into a year round outdoor recreation facility. The foundation is aiming to have limited operations going on the new Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area as soon as this summer.
Early Friday morning, a water line sprung a leak on Sheridan’s Kentucky Avenue near the southeast end of the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. The leak flowed down several adjacent streets causing slushy and icy conditions.
Sheridan Fire and Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire late Sunday Evening on Sheridan’s Brundage Lane. According to Fire Chief Terry Lenhart, the structure turned out to be a local business.
Rudy John Anselmi 93, of Sheridan passed away February 2, 2017. He was the son of Leo and Katharina Anselmi. Rudy attended Arvada high school in Colorado where he played football and track. After high school he served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and later graduated from the University of Colorado in Pharmacy. He moved to Sheridan in 1949 working at the VA Hospital as Chief of Pharmacy.
