Conservation District Hears Report on Invasive Grasses

A new organization is putting together a survey of two invasive grasses in Sheridan County, in an effort to keep them from spreading.

Funeral services for Al Benton, 90 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly Sunday morning, at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Friday February 10th at 2:00 p.m. at the Summit Wesleyan Church in Buffalo with Pastors William Dunlap and John Orwig officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Trustees Give First Reading to RIF Policy

Sheidan County School District 2 trustees gave first-reading approval Monday to a policy dealing with reduction in the district's employees.

SHS We the People Team Wins State for 4th Consecutive Year

For the fourth consecutive year, the Sheridan High School We the People team is Wyoming’s state champions. The team’s Coach Tyson Emborg, said that he was very pleased with the competition.

Two More District Schools Nominated for Blue Ribbon

Sheridan Junior High School and Woodland Park Elementary School have been nominated for National Blue Ribbon honors.

Sheridan’s own Gail Symons is currently writing a non-partisan blog about the current Wyoming Legislative Session in Cheyenne. Symons calls the blog Civics 307 and says she is writing about the legislature, the legislative process, and the legislation itself.
