Shawn Parker, president of the Sheridan/Johnson county Critical Air Service Team, better known as CAST, asked Sheridan's city council for an additional $100,000 for the current fiscal year plus $250,000 in the coming fiscal year as the city's share of the minimum revenue guarantee for Denver Air Connections.

In another round of contract negotiations Monday night, Sheridan's city council asked the city's firefighters for more specific details on their request for merit raises.

A Sheridan County resident said Tuesday that she and other landowners were denied a hearing by Wyoming's Department of Environmental Quality, also known as the DEQ, regarding a proposal by Kentucky-based Ramaco to mine coal from the Brook Mine north of Sheridan.

Uber officially launched service for the first time in Wyoming on Friday. Governor Matt Mead signed ridesharing legislation into law at 2 p.m., which made it legal for Uber to operate everywhere in the state, effective immediately.

On Wednesday, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will hold their March Luncheon at the Best Western Sheridan Center.

House Bill 137 of the 2017 Wyoming Legislative Session, which was sponsored by local legislator Bo Biteman, has passed both the House and Senate and will now move on to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law.
