Funeral services for Grandma Pat Livingston, 93 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Wednesday at her home in Buffalo, surrounded by her family, will be held Saturday April 28th at 3:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 686 Fort Street, in Buffalo, WY. A family interment will take place in Sidney, Nebraska at a later date.

County Poverty Issues Focus of Meeting

Findings from a Community Needs Assessment surrounding the issues of poverty in Sheridan County will be the focus of a meeting Wednesday afternoon at The Hub on Smith Street.

The new superintendent of Sheridan County School District 1 is Pete Kilbride, who's currently the principal at the Tongue River Middle School in Ranchester.

VA, ARC to Host Sexual Assault Healing and Inspiring Event on Friday

On Friday, the Sheridan VA is partnering with the Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center to host Embrace Your Voice: A Sexual Assault Awareness Month event. VA Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator Misti Bybee said that this is a free healing and inspiring event at the Sheridan VA auditorium.

Berger Not Running for Senate Seat

Sheridan County Resident Rosie Berger, who served as a member of the Wyoming Legislature for 14 years, has announced that she will not be running for the Senate District 21 seat. Current District 21 Incumbent Bruce Burns, recently stated that he will not run for another term.

NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE Competition

On April 9, ten teams were named as finalists for the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE this morning during the Bloomberg Future of Energy Summit in New York City. Five teams will continue on in the coal track and five will participate in the natural gas track.
