The Sheridan County Conservation District is looking at an increased budget in the year that starts on July 1.

Beaver: Fire Board Doesn't Legally Exist

Sheridan County's fire board legally doesn't exist. That's according to Deputy County Attorney Clint Beaver, who made the announcement at Monday's meeting of Sheridan County commissioners with staff.

North Main Closed

North Main Street has been closed from south of McDonald's to Interstate 90, and drivers are being asked to stay away from the area.

Gaines C. Puckett, Jr., 84, of Sheridan, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at the V.A. Medical Center of Sheridan. He was born October 31, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia to Gaines C. Sr. and Sallie Bell (Kelly) Puckett.

Crews with Sheridan Fire-Rescue, Goose Valley Volunteer Fire Department, the Sheridan Police Department and Rocky Mountain Ambulance responded to a structure fire at approximately 10:11 Sunday morning at 597 Kingfisher Avenue.

Funeral services for Dr. Tracy Rhodes, 82 year old, longtime veterinarian and former Johnson County Commissioner passed away Thursday Evening at Amie Holt Care Center will be held at the Harness Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, with interment at Willow Grove Cemetery following. Visitation will be held at Harness Funeral Home Monday, from 1:00 to 9:00 pm.
