Blacksmith Championships Under Way

The first of three days of World Championship Blacksmiths competition got underway at the Big Horn Equestrian Center Saturday with more than 70 competitors from across the United States and Canada.

Council to Work Through Light Agenda

In observance of Labor Day, the Sheridan City Council will hold their first regularly scheduled meeting of September on Tuesday night instead of Monday. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has a preview of the meeting.

Thorne Rider, South Piney Trail Closure

Sheridan County and the Bighorn National Forest will be closing the Thorne Rider – South Piney Trail to public use from September 24th through November 15th.

Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Broncs

The Sheridan Broncs won their home opener Friday night with a resounding performance against the Cheyenne Central Indians. The Broncs throttled Central 50-6. Up next for the Broncs will be an early season showdown with Natrona in Casper Friday night.

The Big Horn Rams football team opened their season Friday night at home with a dominating performance against Thermopolis. The Rams shutout the Bobcats 43-0. Up next for the Rams will be a road game Friday at 7pm against Greybull.
