Sheridan County Businesses to Host Manufacturing Day Tours

Ten Sheridan County businesses will open their doors to the community for tours next week in celebration of this year's Manufacturing Day.

County Road to be Closed

County Road 161, also known as Dutch Creek Road, will be closed part of next week for culvert installation.

JCHC Board Elects Dooley As Interim Treasurer

Suicide Prevention Training Offered in October

The Johnson County Prevention Council, in cooperation with St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Buffalo will be offering suicide prevention training in October.

Sheridan County Historical Society to Host Cemetery Tours

During Sept. and Oct., the Sheridan County Historical Society will be hosting walking tours of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. The walking tours will explore local history through the lives of past residents, both prominent and less well-known.

Helen Louise Olvis Helen Louise Olvis, age 89, formerly of Kansas City passed away on September 22, 2018 in Sheridan, Wyoming. She was born in Columbia, Missouri to William and Minnie Schmidt on August 21, 1929. Helen went on to attend the Rosenthal School of Commerce, where she completed a secretarial course in March of 1950.

Library Trustees Enact Circulation Policy Change

The Sheridan County Library System Board of Trustees recently enacted a policy change in regards to delinquent accounts with material not returned by it’s due date.
