Reception Kicks Off Art Show

A liking for abstract art is the common thread for three local artists whose works of the past year are featured in a show at Expressions Art Gallery and Framing LLC in Sheridan.

The new president of the Northern Wyoming Community College District said he was attracted to this area both by the college district and the people he met.

Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament Another Success

The golf tournament hosted earlier this month by the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation was reported to be another huge success, raising nearly $25,000 for technology, innovation and special projects at the hospital.

Ucross Receives Grant to Support Emerging Writers

The Ucross artist residency program has received a grant of $20,000 from the Amazon Literary Partnership program to support two writing residencies in the Ucross fall 2019 session.

Kenneth John Stahl passed away at the Sheridan VA Mountain View Living Center on July 23, 2019. Ken was born September 25, 1938, the son of the late Isador and Elanor (Godde) Stahl in West Bend, WI. He attended grade school in Boltenville, WI, and high school in Kewaskum, WI. Ken enlisted in the US Navy serving 1956-1957 on the USS Forrestal CVA-59.

The 2019 Johnson County Fair and Rodeo begins Friday with the Fabric and Fashion judging and the Make-it-with-Wool contest, and will continue through August 4th at the fairgrounds in Buffalo.
