Blacksmith Competition Under Way in Big Horn

More than 60 blacksmiths have gathered at the Big Horn Equestrian Center at Big Horn this weekend to demonstrate their skills and learn how to do what they do better in the World Championship Blacksmith Competition.

Over 40 wounded warriors have come together in Sheridan for a weekend of fun and camaraderie hosted by the Wyoming W.E.S.T. Wounded Warrior Foundation.

Dollie Marie Smith was born September 1, 1930, in Neodosha, Kansas, near Topeka, to Theo Carl and Lela Alice Smith. Dollie married Gilbert Everette Lang on August 6, 1946, in Caldwell, Idaho. They had seven children: Charles Wayne; Raymond Earl; Jerry Donald; Richard Phillip; Donna Jean; Andrew Carl; and Steven Walter Lang.

Lick Creek Fire Closure Lifted

The lightning caused Lick Creek Fire in the Bighorn National Forest has been declared “contained” by the Forest Service, as there has been no visible smoke observed in the area for over a week.
