MDU Report: Broken Power Line Causes Outage, Fire

According to a Montana-Dakota Utilities spokesperson, a broken power line caused almost 2,000 Sheridan Customers to lose power in addition to starting a small grass fire Thursday evening. The fire was extinguished before MDU crews arrived on the scene.

Expect Smoke from Prescribed Burns in the Bighorns

The Bighorn National Forest has announced that several prescribed burns will be conducted this fall. These burns are weather dependent and planned to occur over the next few months, according to a news release.

The Main Street reconfiguration test in downtown Sheridan has been well received by the public, as on online survey that was conducted recently on the test yielded an over 60 percent positive response rate on the 3-lane configuration.
