BHS Hosting 'FRESHMAN IMPACT' Event Thursday

Buffalo High School will again be hosting a FRESHMAN IMPACT event on Thursday.

According to a release from the Buffalo Police Department and the FRESHMAN IMPACT organization, they want the community to be aware of the mock emergency event at the high school.

The Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority will seek an additional $1.3 million in either a grant or loan from the Wyoming Business Council to help pay for expansion of the Vacutech facility in the Sheridan High-Tech Park.

Hundreds of fourth graders from all three of Sheridan County's school districts went to the Exhibit Hall at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Tuesday for the ag expo hosted by the Sheridan County CattleWomen.

Sheridan Hospital Continues Receiving Patients from Gillette

Sheridan Memorial Hospital has been receiving patients from Gillette since this past weekend when a Ransomware attack shut down the hospital in Campbell County.

Lena Ruth James Buckley, 91 went to be with the “Good Lord” Monday, September 23rd, 2019. Born September 30th, 1927 to Edward and Edna James she had two brothers Ted and EJ. During the depression they were sent to her grandparents’ James and Lena Braddock’s farm. Their only entertainment was listening to Grandmother read the Bible by kerosene lamp.

Johnny H. Gilstad, 52, formerly of Sheridan, now of Gillette, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019, in a motorcycle accident.

Ramaco Receives Millions in Federal Funding

The United States Department of Energy has awarded Sheridan’s Ramaco Carbon millions of dollars in new federal grants to support the creation of high-value alternative uses for coal in developing both advanced carbon products and materials.
