Students in agriculture classes at Sheridan College need only walk out the door of the college's Mars Agriculture Center to see, in real time and real life, what they're studying in the classroom.

An organization whose goal is to provide support for childcare providers is conducting a survey of businesses to determine what they, and parents, need.

A lot of the research to be funded by federal grants recently awarded to Sheridan-based Ramaco Carbon will happen at the company's iCAM facility now under construction north of Sheridan.

Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister, in his monthly report to the hospital board of trustees, said the facility had indeed applied for a SLIB, or State Lands and Investments Board Grant to help pay for their pharmacy remodel project.

During his report to the Planning Commission, Buffalo Planner, Toby Rhoads updated them on what has been going onin his department over the summer.

Coming up this Saturday is a pot luck and old-time dance to benefit the ongoing Kearney Community Hall renovations.
