This weekend is the kick-off of the river recreation season in Wyoming. Rivers are running high and fast, which is a lure for whitewater lovers, but it’s also the time of year when river accidents peak.
Earlier this week a representative from Tongue River Communications approached the Dayton Town Council requesting an exception on moving some overhead lines. Dayton recently passed an ordinance that requires any new service lines to be buried underground.
The Sheridan Heritage Center has received a $5,000 grant award from the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) through its Sheridan/Johnson County affiliate. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson has the story.
