The 2nd annual Matthew Perkins Memorial Scholarship fundraiser is coming up this Friday night in Sheridan. The fundraiser helps Sheridan High School students travel abroad. Matt's mother, Jane Perkins says the event will have something for everyone.

2nd Annual VOA Bandana Barn Dance Is Set For September 19th

The 2nd annual Bandana Barn Dance to benefit Volunteers of America of Wyoming and Montana will take place Saturday September 19th at Pam and Win Phillips' Winfield Ranch in Banner. VOA President Jeff Holisinger says that along with dancing, dinner and music, there will be some nice items up for auction as well.

The Sheridan County Museum Community Appreciation Days

The building that used to be Bubba's Barbecue was turned into the Sheridan County Museum in 2006. The Museum is an ongoing process that has kept Curator Dana Prater very busy for the last couple of years. Yesterday was the last day of the Community Appreciation Days.

There Will Be Plenty Of Extra Opportunities For Sheridan Hunters This Fall

Hunters will have lots of opportunity to hunt this fall in northeast Wyoming. Mild winters combined with good fawn production has resulted in white-tailed deer and pronghorn populations being higher than desired in some areas. 2009 pronghorn and white-tailed deer seasons are designed to reduce these populations.
