The trial for Sheridan resident Vincent Scott got underway Wednesday in 4th Judicial District Court. Scott is on trial for an incident that occurred on November 7th, 2009 in Sheridan, when he allegedly sexually assaulted and battered his ex-wife in her home, and threatened her and their son's life.

Jury selection for the trial of Sheridan resident Vincent Scott took place in 4th Judicial District Court Wednesday morning. Both Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Dianna Bennett and Defense Attorney Shelley Cundiff consistently asked the Jury Pool if they would have any trouble keeping an open mind toward the defendant due to the nature of the crimes for which he is on trial.

The second in a series of hands-on public workshops, hosted by the City of Sheridan, was held Tuesday night at the YMCA to look at potential street improvements in the Jefferson and Dow Street areas near the Y.  Problems already identified by the City are street widths, drainage, pathway connectivity, traffic speeds, and aging water and sewer lines.

24-year-old Lydia Morrison, represented by public defender Erin Wardell, was arraigned in 4th Judicial District Court Tuesday morning on four separate counts.

Accidents like this are happening more and more often on Brundage Lane in Sheridan.

There have been several recent accidents on Brundage Lane in Sheridan lately that has prompted officials with WYDOT to examine the speed limit on that street. WYDOT Public Involvement Specialist Ronda Holwell explains.
