Speaker of the House Colin Simpson, along with Senate President John Hines and legislators from both the Wyoming House and Senate, called on Governor Dave Freudenthal yesterday to direct Attorney General Bruce Salzburg to take all necessary action to add Wyoming to the legal challenge of the recently enacted federal health reform bill.

At their monthly meeting Wednesday, the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees briefly discussed the ramifications of the health care reform bill that was passed and signed into law earlier this week. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital will move forward with re-addressing the design plans of a 12-to-15 thousand square foot cancer center that would be located on the west campus of the hospital property. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty.

The Sheridan Recreation District has been utilizing the old Highland Park School since April of 2007 and the usage numbers continue to remain strong. Recreation District Director Richard Wright says their future at the facility is still uncertain.
