The City of Sheridan is looking for ways to close the $1.3 million budget shortfall that is due to a decline in local revenue and cuts handed down by the Wyoming Legislature. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

20-year-old Gerald Hamlin and 17-year-old Dillion Sutherlin were arraigned in 4th Judicial District Court Tuesday on charges of aggravated robbery. Sutherlin is also being charged with Accessory Before the Fact.

The Wyoming Office of Consumer Advocate has reached an agreement with Montana Dakota Utilities regarding the proposed utility rate increase. The stipulation agreement states that the increase would be $3.2 million and would be phased in over a three year period. In the first year, an increase of $1.8 million or 8.93%, will be implemented on May 1st, 2010.

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced last Friday that the Department of the Interior will expand efforts with state, local and tribal partners to map lands that are vital to the survival of the greater sage grouse, and managing new conventional and renewable energy projects to reduce impacts on the species.

Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce members will have the opportunity for a Q & A with the Republican gubernatorial candidates tomorrow. Chamber Director Janelle Martinsen explains.
