7th Judicial District Court Judge W. Thomas Sullins of Casper ruled this week that Sheridan teenagers Dharminder Sen and Wyatt Bear Cloud, both 16, will be tried as adults for 1st Degree Murder and other charges that have been filed against them. Attorneys for both defendants had filed motions to have the cases moved to juvenile court.

The latest Sheridan City Council budget work session Thursday dealt with budgets for the Police Department, Fire Department, Municipal Court and contracted Prosecuting Attorney for the City, Mia Mikesell. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

The Sheridan Fire Rescue Public Education Committee conceived a plan to have a public input survey, which was unveiled at this year's Big Horn Homebuilder's Home Show. Fire Marshal Brian Songer says they received over 200 responses from the community.

Songer said that the three categories in the survey included services, programs and training.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital will be holding their first annual baby fair this Saturday at the Medical Arts Building just west of the hospital. Hospital Community Relations Coordinator Cecile Pattison explains that the event will provide a wealth of information for those who attend.

90% of maximum sentence handed out to man accused of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Minor.

52-year-old Richard Hill was sentenced in 4th Judicial District Court Thursday on a 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor, a charge to which he plead guilty in late April. Hill had admitted to having sexual intercourse in 2008 with a girl who was then only 13 years old.
