BLM and Facebook are now "Friends"

The Wyoming BLM is gaining more “friends”. Sort of. Sheridan Media's Betsy Love has more.

Volunteers are needed for clean up at South Park next weekend.

South Park is 38 acres of natural native riparian flood area located in south Sheridan. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that they need a few good hands to help clean up the area next Saturday.

Poll shows Meyer, Mead out in front in the race for Wyoming Governor.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A poll says Wyoming Republicans Rita Meyer and Matt Mead are their party's leading gubernatorial candidates ahead of the August 17th Primary Election. Results of the poll show that 27 percent of 400 voters surveyed said they would vote for Meyer, who is State Auditor, while 24 percent said they would vote for Mead, a former U.S. Attorney for Wyoming.

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis spoke out in opposition of H.R. 3534, or the CLEAR Act during a floor debate Friday. The bill includes unlimited spill liability for offshore operators, which could effectively eliminate independent producers from operating offshore if they cannot obtain insurance policies to cover their operations.

Environmental group sues over gas pipeline.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - An environmental group hoping to block construction of a $3 billion gas pipeline from Wyoming to Oregon has filed suit. The Tucson, Arizona based Center for Biological Diversity says the Ruby Pipeline would cut across "pristine and remote lands" and harm endangered fish.
