More DNA samples must be tested to ID two sets of remains found in the Big Horn Mountains.

A media release issued Friday morning from the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office indicates that attempts so far have been unsuccessful to determine the identity of human remains discovered in the Big Horn Mountains in April of this year.

Consol and two other companies working to develop Youngs Creek Mine in northern Sheridan County.

Since 2003, a process has been underway to develop a new coal mine in northern Sheridan County. Called the Youngs Creek Mine, Consol Energy and The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Company, along with Chevron, have been getting closer to bringing the plans to reality, and if it comes online, Youngs Creek has the potential to employ over 300 people.
