Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commissioner Phil Zerwas

The Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission once again denied a request from Toby and Marie Johnson to subdivide 25.5 acres of property into an 11 lot subdivision. The property is located off of Highway 335 near Big Horn. The preliminary plat was originally denied by the Commission on May 5th.

The fact that the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan was recently under a quarantine is a simple reminder to dog owners the importance of getting your pet vaccinated against distemper. Shelter Director Cel Hope explains why they were quarantined for a couple of weeks.

The Wyoming Career Readiness Certificate Initiative will celebrate its second year in operation on Friday, July 9th. The Initiative, administered by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, has issued over a total of 2,355 total certificates to Wyoming’s job seekers in the past two years.
