The Sheridan County Library System may have a new director by mid-October.

The Sheridan County Library Board met in executive session Thursday afternoon. Spokeman Tony Wendtland has this announcement about the Library Director search.

The five candidates, Wendtland says, all meet the criteria for the position, and represent quite a region.

Around 40 people gathered at Holy Name Parish in Sheridan last night for a public “workshop.” The goal was to get more “hands-on” input from residents about the potential reconstruction of several streets in Sheridan, including Wyoming Avenue, Sheridan Avenue and Burkitt Street, as well as auxiliary roads.
